Monstera deliciosa, also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers to be kept out of direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves. It does best in warm temperatures between 65–85°F (18–29°C) and appreciates high humidity; occasional misting or a humidifier can help, especially in dry indoor environments. Water the plant when the top inch or two of soil feels dry, being careful not to overwater, as soggy soil can lead to root rot. Use a well-draining potting mix—something like a blend of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark—and make sure the pot has drainage holes. During the growing season in spring and summer, fertilize monthly with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer, and hold off feeding in the fall and winter. Monsteras are natural climbers, so providing a moss pole or stake encourages healthy vertical growth. Prune as needed to control size and shape, and repot every year or two when the plant becomes root-bound. With the right care, your Monstera will reward you with lush, iconic foliage.

We will not replace damaged or frozen plants during colder months, unless you have purchased a heat pack AND priority mail.
